Bonrise 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoporosis
It treats osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk of fractures.

Bonrise Tablet side effects


Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty in swallowing.


How to use Bonrise Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Bonrise 150mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Bonrise Tablet works

Bonrise 150mg Tablet is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.

Expert advice for Bonrise Tablet

  • Take Bonrise in the morning on an empty stomach with water.
  • Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after taking Bonrise.
  • Maintain an upright posture for 30 minutes after taking Bonrise.
  • Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw, throat, chest, abdomen, hips or thighs.
  • Inform your doctor if you are about to undergo any major dental procedures, as Bonrise may need to be discontinued temporarily.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Bonrise 150mg Tablet.
Bonrise 150mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Bonrise 150mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Bonrise 150mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Bonrise 150mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Bonrise 150mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
No dose adjustment is recommended for patients with mild or moderate renal impairment.
Bonrise 150mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Bonrise 150mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
