Barinat 1 Tablet is used in combination with Remdesivir for the treatment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in hospitalized adults.
Barinat 1 Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another drug. It can be taken with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Your dose will depend on your condition and what other medicines you are taking. You should use it as your doctor tells you to. Don’t stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to because your condition could get worse.
The most common side effects of Barinat 1 Tablet include throat and nose infections, nausea, and viral infection. You may also get cold sores, feel sick, or have symptoms of a cold, like a stuffy nose, sneezing, and a sore throat. If you have any worries about side effects, talk to your doctor.
Before starting Barinat 1 Tablet, your doctor may advise blood tests, and you should not take Barinat 1 Tablet if you have an active infection. Inform your doctor if you ever have tuberculosis, shingles, kidney or liver disease, hepatitis B or C, or blood clots in your legs or lungs.
Barinat 1 Tablet can increase your risk of infections or worsen existing ones, so avoid contact with people who have contagious illnesses like chickenpox, measles, or flu. What if you forget to take Barinat Tablet?

Can I take Barinat 1 Tablet if I have liver problems?
Inform your doctor if you have liver problems before starting Barinat 1 Tablet. This is done because, in some cases, Barinat 1 Tablet may cause an increase in liver enzymes. Therefore, your liver function needs to be investigated before starting Barinat 1 Tablet. Although Barinat 1 Tablet can be given to patients with mild to moderate liver function impairment, it should not be prescribed to patients with severe liver impairment.
Do I need to do any investigations before starting Barinat 1 Tablet?
You may need to get your blood tests done before you start Barinat 1 Tablet or while taking it. Blood tests are done to check if you have a low red blood cell count (anemia), low white blood cell count (neutropenia or lymphopenia), high blood fat (cholesterol), or high levels of liver enzymes. It also helps to ensure that treatment with Barinat 1 Tablet is not causing problems. In addition to this, your doctor may advise you to get tested for tuberculosis before starting Barinat 1 Tablet, as using this medicine may make an existing infection worse.
