Introduction of Amlokos Tablet

Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (heart-related chest pain). It helps to lower high blood pressure and thus reduce the chances of future heart attack and stroke. This medicine should be used along with a proper diet, salt restriction and regular exercise for best results. It should be taken regularly at a fixed time every day. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly. You may experience mild dizziness initially while taking this medicine, which improves with time. Ankle swelling may occur in some patients as a common side effect.

How to use Amlokos Tablet

Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.

What if you miss a dose of Amlokos Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Amlokos 2.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
