Introduction of Amlogard Tablet

Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (heart-related chest pain). It helps to lower high blood pressure, thus reducing the chances of future heart attack and stroke. This medicine should be used along with a proper diet, salt restriction, and regular exercise for best results. It should be taken regularly at a fixed time every day. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly. You may experience mild dizziness initially while taking this medicine, which improves with time. Swelling of the ankle may occur in some patients as a side effect.

How to use Amlogard Tablet

How Amlogard Tablet works

Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Pregnancy

Amlogard 5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Amlogard 5 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Amlogard 5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amlogard 5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Amlogard 5 mg Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.

What if you miss a dose of Amlogard Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Amlogard 5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Hello PATIENT Ejaculation is very common in age and first of all dont take so much tension which is further deteriorate your health. Life style modification with behavioural changes may help you more. There are some technique and take help from your partner. In the ?stop-start? programme, the partner stimulates the penis until the patient feels the urge to ejaculate. At this point, he instructs his partner to stop, waits for the sensation to pass and then stimulation is resumed. Another the ?squeeze? technique is similar but the partner applies manual pressure to the glans just before ejaculation until the patient loses his urge. Apply some cream like Climax spray / EMLA cream which will further help. Along with this do exercise, stop smoking tobacco alcohol n gutkha, eat fruits and take antioxidant multivitamins and vitamin C. Try this for couple of weeks and if not improved i will advice you some medicines.

Q. What is Amlogard used for?

Amlogard is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), angina pectoris (pain in the chest caused by blockages in the arteries leading to the heart) or chest pain classed as vasospastic angina pectoris (or Prinzmetal’s angina).

Q. Is Amlogard a calcium channel blocker and how does it works?

Amlogard is a calcium channel blocker. In patients with high blood pressure, it works by relaxing blood vessels, so that blood passes through them more easily. In patients with angina, it works by improving blood supply to the heart muscle, which then receives more oxygen, and hence, prevents chest pain. It does not provide immediate relief of chest pain from angina.

Q. Is Amlogard safe?

Amlogard is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor.

Q. Can I take Amlogard at night?

Amlogard can be taken at night. You should take Amlogard at the same time each day with a glass of water.

Q. Can I take Amlogard and aspirin?

Amlogard can be taken with aspirin. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.

Q. Can I take Amlogard with sildenafil?

Both Amlogard and sildenafil cause a lowering the blood pressure. So, taking the two medicines together could be harmful. Please consult your doctor before taking them together.

Amlogard is not known to damage kidneys. However, Amlogard can cause urinary disorders like difficulty in passing urine, increased the need to urinate at night, increased number of times of passing urine as an uncommon side effect.

Amlogard can rarely cause changes in heart rate, which can be an increase (tachycardia) or a decrease in heart rate (bradycardia) or an irregular heart rate. Please consult your doctor if you experience any changes in your heart rate while taking Amlogard.

Amlogard can cause pedal edema (swelling of the ankles). Please consult your doctor if you have pedal edema while taking Amlogard.

Amlogard and ramipril both have a blood pressure lowering effect. So, taking both the medicines together can be harmful. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.

Q. Can I take Amlogard with simvastatin?

Amlogard can increase the levels of simvastatin, causing an increased tendency towards myopathy (muscle pain) and rhabdomyolysis (increased breakdown of muscle). The dose of simvastatin may need to be reduced when giving along with Amlogard . Please consult your doctor.
