How to use Aerocort Inhaler

Check the label for directions before use. Shake the inhaler. While you are breathing in from mouth, press down on the inhaler one time to release the medication and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as suggested by the doctor.Afterwards, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.

How Aerocort Inhaler works

Aerocort 100mcg/50mcg Inhaler is a combination of two medicines: Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol and Beclometasone. Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol is a bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine. It acts by stopping the release of certain natural substances in body that cause inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Hi i was adviced by a doctor to take aerocort inhaler on regular basis twice a day to avoid breathlessness I dont feel like keeping an inhaler on me all the time Also i dont have asthma Is there any alternative way to completely get rid of this problem as i dont wanna stay clinched to an inhaler

Q. Are there any medication which I have to avoid while taking Aerocort?
It is not recommended to use Aerocort if you are using other medicines, such as : anticholinergic, beta-adrenergic agents, beta-blockers, diuretics, digoxin, MAO inhibitors or anti-depressants.
Q. What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Aerocort?
Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it as mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.
Q. What should I do if I forget a dose?
If you miss a dose or forget to take your medicine, take it as soon as you can. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for a missed dose.
Q. Will Aerocort be more effective if taken in higher doses?
No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective. Consuming higher than the recommended dose of Aerocort can lead to increased side effects. If symptoms are not getting relieved by the recommended doses, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. Can the use of Aerocort cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Aerocort can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop what you are doing and sit or lie down for sometime or until you feel better. Do not drive or use any machines.
