Dutamax Tablet should be taken by mouth with or without food. This medicine is given for a long time and takes a few months to show its effects. Thus, it is important to take it as advised by the doctor and complete the full course of treatment.

Common side effects of Dutamax Tablet include low sexual drive, ejaculation disorder, breast enlargement, and breast tenderness. If any of these side effects bother you, consult your doctor for guidance.

It is advised not to donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutamax Tablet. Let your doctor know if you have any other preexisting medical conditions before using this medicine. Let your doctor also know if you have a history of allergic reactions to any of the ingredients in this medicine. Dutamax Tablet is not indicated for use in women.

It can also lower the risk of urinary retention, offering long-term relief and improved quality of life.

Dutamax Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Dutamax with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Aprepitant (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as reduced sexual drive, dizziness, blisters or mood changes and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations. Aprepitant may raise blood levels of Dutasteride.
