The X - Ray Skull AP & LAT Views are imaging tests that help detect any potential fractures, bone lesions, or degenerative diseases of the skull. An X-ray is a form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation that gives images of the affected joint. It helps visualize any abnormality with the skull.

The X-ray is conducted while the patient is standing facing the side of their skull and their face towards the X-ray machine.

X-rays are comparatively safe but can be dangerous in some cases. Exposure to the radiation can pose a minor risk to the patient. There is a small chance that the radiation can harm the baby in the womb. Hence pregnant women are not allowed to get an X-ray done.
