MR Angigraphy Both Lower Limbs (MR)

The MR Angigraphy Both Lower Limbs (MR) is a noninvasive imaging test that uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and a contrast dye to create detailed images of the blood vessels in both legs. It helps evaluate the blood flow through the arteries and detect any narrowing, blockages, or abnormalities in the lower limb vessels.

Doctors may recommend this test if you have symptoms such as leg pain while walking (claudication), numbness, cold feet, non-healing wounds, or if there is suspicion of peripheral artery disease (PAD). It can also be useful in planning vascular surgery or monitoring the effectiveness of previous treatments.

This procedure is safe and painless, and it does not use radiation. You’ll need to lie still inside the MRI scanner while images are captured. A contrast agent (usually gadolinium) may be injected into a vein to improve visibility of the blood vessels. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, metal implants, or are pregnant, as precautions may be needed.
