Know more about this test

A venous Doppler is an ultrasound test that measures blood circulation in the arteries & veins of the legs (or sometimes the arms). This test detects any blockage by using high-frequency sound waves. You may need a Doppler ultrasound if you show signs of deep vein thrombosis or DVT (blood clot formation), superficial thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the veins), or arteriosclerosis (a narrowing and hardening of the arteries).
It is a non-invasive procedure with no risk of radiation exposure. It is completely safe to use during pregnancy to check the fetus's blood flow. In case of anomalies, your doctor will explain your results in further detail and advise you on any other tests or treatments.
