Doppler Arterial Left Lower Limb

An Arterial Doppler Left Lower Limb is an imaging technique that uses sound waves to study the blood flow through blood vessels, veins and arteries that carry blood in the arms and legs. It can also study any blood flow abnormalities because of blood clots or insufficient blood circulation. This test also helps detect the presence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), narrowing or hardening of arteries, and vascular(related to blood vessels) diseases. Symptoms of DVT include painful cramping and swelling, usually in one leg, swollen veins that feel hard to touch, and darkened skin around the affected area.

An Arterial Doppler is a painless, non-invasive procedure that takes about an hour. It is safe during pregnancy as it has no risk from radiation exposure.
