CT Scan Both Lower Limbs Angiography (CTA)
CT Scan Both Lower Limbs Angiography (CTA) is an imaging method helpful in detecting the cause behind leg and thigh pain during walking or exercising, inflammation of blood vessels, fractures, dislocations, abnormal widening of an artery, soft tissue, and arterial injuries, or bleeding caused by trauma.
During the scan, rotating X-ray beams take images of the internal structures of your legs and transmit them to a computer. Abnormal results can be due to plaque accumulation in arteries, injury to the blood vessels. If contrast is used, avoid eating or drinking anything for 4 hours before the scan. Contrast material may bring a metallic taste or a burning feeling. Also, you may need some routine testing if you are above 60 years, have high blood pressure, or are diabetic.
