Zovair 160mcg/12mcg Inhaler is a combination of two medicines: Ciclesonide and Formoterol which work well in worsening asthma or COPD. Ciclesonide is a steroid which stops the release of certain natural substances that cause inflammation (swelling) in the airways. Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator which works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
Zovair 160mcg/12mcg Inhaler may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
