How to use Vomivert Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vomivert 20 mg/40 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Vomivert Tablet works

Vomivert 20 mg/40 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Cinnarizine is calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear. Dimenhydrinate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for motion sickness.

Avoid foods you find hard to digest. Avoid drugs that irritate your stomach if possible like painkillers. Avoid too much coffee n tea particularly at evening. Avoid hot and spicy foods, acidic foods, fatty foods, milk, etc
my mom got TSH 4.65 uIU/ml and BP 130/90 hg on dated we consulted doctor and got priscription Thyroup 50 mg for daily early morning on empty stomach. On next visit dated on TSH was 6.330 and BP 140/90 and also mild vertigo when get up in morning. After this doctor replaced Thyroup 50 to Thyroup 75 . After this my mom got BP up to 155/110 and getting vertigo continually day by day. I am feeling that Thyroup is giving side effect or it is not suitable for my mom. I am in worry please help.

Vomivert is contra-indicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances, diphenhydramine or other antihistamines of similar structure or to any of the excipients. Vomivert should be avoided in patients with glaucoma, fits, increased intracranial pressure, alcohol abuse, urinating issues, liver or kidney disease. It is also not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

If you miss a dose of Vomivert: you should skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time and quantity. You should not take a double dose of Vomivert to make up for a missed dose.

You should not stop taking Vomivert until your doctor informs you to stop it. If you stop taking Vomivert soon: you may have the symptoms of vertigo again (dizziness and ’spinning’).
