Uses of Vebalone Injection

Vebalone 3mg Injection is used in the treatment of osteoporosis
This disease mostly occurs in women after menopause, but can sometimes be seen in men. It can also occur in patients receiving steroids.

Side effects of Vebalone Injection


Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty in swallowing.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

How Vebalone Injection works

Vebalone 3mg Injection is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.

Expert advice for Vebalone Injection

  • Take Vebalone in the morning on an empty stomach with water.
  • Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after taking Vebalone.
  • Maintain an upright posture for 30 minutes after taking Vebalone.
  • Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw, throat, chest, abdomen, hips or thighs.
  • Inform your doctor if you are about to undergo any major dental procedures, as Vebalone may need to be discontinued temporarily.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Vebalone 3mg Injection.
Vebalone 3mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Vebalone 3mg Injection is probably safe to use during lactat
ion. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Vebalone 3mg Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Vebalone 3mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vebalone 3mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

No dose adjustment is recommended for patients with mild or moderate renal impairment.
Vebalone 3mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients w
ith liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Vebalone 3mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Ibandronic Acid, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
