Product introduction

Trubose-Plus Tablet should be taken with food. Keep taking this medicine, even if you feel your blood sugar levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of complications. You should remember that it is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, fatigue, dizziness, vomiting, and headache. To prevent this, it is important to have regular meals and always carry a fast-acting source of glucose such as sugary food or fruit juice with you. Drinking alcohol can also increase your risk of low blood sugar levels and should be avoided. If you experience any other symptoms which you think is caused by this medicine, you should let your doctor know.

You should not take it if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, if you have diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in your blood), or if you have severe kidney or liver disease. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your blood sugar levels should be checked regularly and your doctor may also advise blood tests to monitor your blood cell counts and liver function.

Benefits of Trubose Tablet

Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Trubose-Plus Tablet is a medicine that helps to control high blood glucose (sugar) levels. It helps get rid of extra glucose from your body through urine. It also improves the body’s response to the hormone insulin, which is responsible for regulating blood glucose (sugar) levels in our body. The insulin helps to lower your blood glucose levels and prevents them from rising after taking meals. You should keep taking it for as long as it is prescribed.

Lowering blood glucose levels is an essential part of managing diabetes. If you can control the level you will reduce the risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trubose-Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Trubose Tablet works

Trubose-Plus Tablet is a combination of three anti-diabetic medicines: Nateglinide, Metformin, and Voglibose, that act in different ways. Nateglinide increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas which prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals. Metformin, on the other hand, works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying the absorption of sugar (glucose) from the intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Voglibose inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.

Quick tips

  • Trubose-Plus Tablet is prescribed to control blood sugar and avoid long-term complications.
  • Take it after you have eaten a meal or with a snack, as this will reduce the chance of an upset stomach.
  • It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
  • Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, cold sweats, tremor, and anxiety.
  • It is important for you to take care of the skin on your lower limbs and to report any sores or signs of infection to your doctor.
