Ton 25mg Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis. It reduces the overproduction of skin cells and helps to re-pigment the discolored, white patches.
Ton 25mg Tablet is taken after meals in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Taking with food helps to increase absorption of the medication as well as decrease nausea. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects of Ton 25mg Tablet are nausea, itching, and redness of the skin. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects.
Taking this medicine makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Try to avoid exposure of your skin and lips to sunlight for eight hours after treatment. It is not recommended for children under the age of 14 years. Avoid eating certain foods like limes, figs, parsley, parsnips, mustard, carrots, and celery, as they may increase skin's sensitivity to light.

Does Ton 25mg Tablet cause photosensitivity, and what precautions should be taken in sunlight?
Yes, Ton 25mg Tablet makes your skin extremely sensitive to sunlight and UVA. Avoid sun exposure during and for at least forty-eight hours after each dose. Wear protective clothing, use sunblock (SPF 30 or higher) on exposed skin, and protect your eyes with wraparound sunglasses that block all UVA/UVB rays.
How long should I use Ton 25mg Tablet, and when will I see the results?
Ton 25mg Tablet treatment may take several weeks to months to show benefits. Do not increase your dose or number of UVA sessions trying to speed results, as this increases the risk of burns and skin cancer. Your doctor will regularly check your progress and adjust therapy as needed.
