Continue taking this medication even if you feel fine or your blood sugar levels are stable. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of complications. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.

The most common side effects of this medicine include hypoglycemia, constipation, edema, headache, vomiting, and a metallic taste.
