Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of diabetes.
Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Headache, Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Upper respiratory tract infection.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.
Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Metformin, glimepiride and methylcobalamin which treat diabetic nerve disease. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Methylcobolamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells.

Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.
Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.
