Eczema
Eczema is a condition in which patches of skin swells and becomes dry, itchy, rough and red. Stemin MF Ointment moisturizes the skin and helps reduce dryness and itchiness. It also reduces swelling and redness at the affected area. Apply Stemin MF Ointment 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment.

Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a skin problem in which skin cells build up and form scales and dry patches which are itchy and painful. Applying Stemin MF Ointment helps manage psoriasis symptoms like itching, pain, redness, swelling or irritation. It also moisturizes the skin and makes it soft and smooth. Clean and dry the affected area before applying Stemin MF Ointment. Use it atleast 2-3 times a day or as prescribed. You may see change in your skin appearance after few weeks.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

How Stemin MF Ointment works

Stemin MF Ointment is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Urea which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Urea are keratolytic medicines which break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells and soften the skin. They also enhance the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.

Quick tips

Stemin MF Ointment is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort associated with psoriasis and eczema.
It is advisable to apply it once a day. For best effect, leave it on during the day if you have applied it in the morning, or overnight if you have used it in the evening.
Apply to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
If you are using a moisturizer along with this preparation, apply the moisturizer first. Then wait 10-15 minutes before applying Stemin MF Ointment.
Do not apply this medicine to your face unless your doctor has asked you to. If you have been told to use it on your face, be careful not to get any preparation near your eyes, and do not use it for longer periods of time than you have been advised.
Your skin may become more sensitive to sunlight than normal while you are using Stemin MF Ointment. Try to avoid sitting out in the sun and do not use sunbeds.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
