How to use Stemin Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Stemin 0.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Avoid Stemin 0.5 mg Tablet with dietary sodium.

How Stemin Tablet works

Stemin 0.5 mg Tablet is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

What if you miss a dose of Stemin Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Stemin 0.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Stemin is not an antibiotic. It's a glucocorticoid.

Stemin is not used in retention edema. Glucocorticoids can cause fluid and salt retention as a side effect thereby causing edema or aggravating edema. However, Stemin does not normally cause retention of salt and water and the risk of inducing edema and hypertension is almost negligible.
