Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet is recommended.
Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Starcad-T 50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
