How to use Sicriptin Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Sicriptin Tablet works
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet treats increased prolactin level by decreasing the amount of prolactin in the body which helps in fertility and period problems. It treats acromegaly by decreasing the amount of growth hormone in the body. Researchers don't know how exactly it works in diabetes mellitus.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet is usually not used during breastfeeding because it suppresses lactation.
Driving
Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Kidney
Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Sicriptin 2.5 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
However, a cautious use of this medicine is advised in these patients.

You could be allergic to the medicine. Don't take it and consult a physician. For stopping breast feeding stop it gradually. Don't let your breast become engorged at any time. If it gets engorged then express a little bit of milk. But don't express too much.
