Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen is given as an injection under the skin, usually once a week. Use it on the same day every week, preferably at the same time, to help maintain consistent blood sugar control. The most common side effects of Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, indigestion, and reduced appetite. These side effects are usually mild and tend to improve as your body gets used to the medicine. Eating smaller meals, avoiding greasy or spicy foods, and drinking plenty of fluids may help reduce stomach-related side effects. If any of these symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor.

Before using Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen, tell your doctor if you have or have ever had pancreatitis, diabetic eye disease (diabetic retinopathy), kidney problems, or any severe stomach or intestinal disorders. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to semaglutide or any of its ingredients. This medicine is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes and is not a substitute for insulin.

Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking, as some medicines, especially insulin or sulfonylureas, may increase the risk of low blood sugar when used together with Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it may affect your blood sugar levels. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, and women planning pregnancy should stop treatment at least 2 months before becoming pregnant. It is also not recommended while breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.

• Administer Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen on the same day each week. Set a reminder to help you remember.
• To prevent skin irritation or lumps, administer the medication to different areas of the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
• Check your blood sugar levels regularly to prevent hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and address any unexpected symptoms.
• Eat small, frequent, balanced meals, and avoid greasy, high-fat foods to reduce nausea.
• Drink plenty of water to counteract potential dehydration from nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
• Be watchful of symptoms like severe stomach pain, signs of pancreatitis (such as severe upper abdominal pain that may radiate to the back, along with nausea, vomiting, or fever), or allergic reactions, and consult a doctor immediately if they occur.
• Let doctors know you are taking Sematrinity 2mg Pre-filled Pen before surgeries, as it may delay stomach emptying and increase aspiration risk.
