Product introduction

Your doctor will explain how to use Scabidrill Lotion and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine carefully to ensure correct use. The skin should be clean, dry, and cool before application. The whole body should be washed thoroughly 8–12 hours after using this medicine.

Most people need only a single application to treat scabies; however, if a second application is required, it should be used no sooner than 7 days after the first. Itching may continue for up to 4 weeks after treatment and is usually due to an allergic reaction to dead mites rather than treatment failure.

The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild, and not everyone gets them. If they persist or get worse, consult your doctor for guidance.

Before using it, let your doctor know if you have any skin conditions or allergies to medicines, food, or other substances, or if you have asthma. Though this medicine is generally thought to be safe, you should ask your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Uses of Scabidrill Lotion

Benefits of Scabidrill Lotion

Treatment of Scabies
Scabies is a condition caused by tiny insects called mites that infest and irritate your skin. Scabidrill Lotion is an anti-parasite medicine. It works by paralyzing and killing the mites and their eggs. Generally, the cream should be applied to the whole body except the face and head but follow your doctor’s advice. It should be thoroughly washed off after 8-12 hours. Often one application is enough to treat the condition completely but sometimes a second one may be required a week later. This will get rid of the itching, swelling, and redness caused by mites. However, dead mites may still make you itch for some time.

Side effects of Scabidrill Lotion

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Scabidrill Lotion

This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

How Scabidrill Lotion works

Scabidrill Lotion is a synthetic pyrethroid that acts on the nerve cells of scabies mites, causing paralysis and death of the mites and their eggs. It works by disrupting the normal function of nerve cell membranes in scabies mites. This action helps eliminate the mites responsible for scabies and allows the skin to heal.

Frequently asked questions

Scabidrill Lotion is used for the treatment of scabies, a contagious skin condition caused by mites that burrow into the skin and cause intense itching and rash.
Apply Scabidrill Lotion to clean, dry, and cool skin and gently rub it in. For most adults and children over 2 years, it should be applied over the entire body except the head and face. Leave the medicine on for 8–12 hours, after which the whole body should be washed thoroughly.
In most people, a single application is enough. If symptoms persist, new lesions appear, or healing does not occur, a second application may be given after at least 7 days, as advised by a doctor.
Itching may continue for up to 4 weeks after treatment, even when the scabies mites are dead. This is a common allergic reaction to dead mites under the skin and does not necessarily mean treatment failure.
Scabidrill Lotion is for external use only and should not be applied to broken skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. Contact with eyes should be avoided, and if accidental contact occurs, the eyes should be rinsed immediately with water.
Use of topical corticosteroids should generally be withheld before treatment, as they may reduce the body’s response to the mites. Your doctor will advise if any additional treatment is needed.
