Introduction of Pseudoephedrine

Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness.

Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food but is best taken at the same time(s) each day. Take it in the dose and duration as direct by your doctor. Keep taking it regularly, as they have been prescribed, and try not to miss doses to get the most benefit.

Some of the common side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, and dryness in mouth. If these side effects do not go away with time or get worse, let your doctor know.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines or if you have kidney or liver disease. Also let your doctor know all other medications you are using as they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. This medicine should not be taken during pregnancy, however it is safe to take during breastfeeding if prescribed by your doctor.

It may be taken with or without food and It is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. In case, you have missed any dose than it is better to take another one as soon as you remember it.

This medicine may cause dizziness as a side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. While taking it it is better to avoid alcohol intake as it may worsen your side effects.

Kidney
CAUTION
Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Ratifed Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Ratifed 500 mg/2.5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
