How to use Rabicer D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rabicer D Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.

How Rabicer D Tablet works

Rabicer D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Rabeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol
UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Rabicer D Tablet Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Pregnancy

Rabicer D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Rabicer D Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Rabicer D Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Rabicer D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Rabicer D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Rabicer D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Rabicer D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Rabicer D Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

Q. What are the contraindications of Rabicer D?

The use of Rabicer D is considered to be harmful for patients with a known hypersensitivity to rabeprazole or domperidone or any other inactive ingredients of the medicine. Caution is advised in patients with underlying kidney or liver disease.

Q. Can the use of Rabicer D cause dry mouth?

Yes, the use of Rabicer D can cause dry mouth. Dryness of mouth occurs due to Domperidone. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Keep some water on your bedside at night. Cut down the intake of alcohol and avoid smoking. If you have dry mouth, try to use alcohol-free mouthwash as its use can increase the risk of tooth decay.

Yes, the use of Rabicer D can cause diarrhea. In case you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and if you notice any signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine.
