Prenoxid 200mg Tablet is an antitussive medicine. It is used for the treatment of dry cough. It works by suppressing the cough reflex in the brain. It can also provide relief from symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, and throat irritation.

Prenoxid 200mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablet whole with water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. In case, you have missed any doses, take the next dose as soon as you remember it. However, never take a double dose. You must inform your doctor if symptoms do not get improve within 7 days of the treatment.

The most common side effects of this medicine include allergic reactions, allergic skin reactions, constipation, and dryness in the mouth. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. • Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
• It should not be administered to patients with chronic cough or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions.
• Inform your doctor if your cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash or headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.
• It can be taken with or without food or as per advised by the doctor.
• You have been prescribed Prenoxid 200mg Tablet for the symptomatic relief of dry cough.

• Measure the syrup with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. 
• Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
