Nitrotap Applicap is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Read the package insert for complete information. Gently apply the ointment onto the selected skin area. Spread it evenly in a thin layer using a clean finger. Do not get it into your mouth, eyes, or nose. In case of accidental contact, rinse it off thoroughly with clean water.

This medicine is generally well tolerated with minimal or no side effects. However, if you experience any symptoms which you feel is caused by the medicine, let your doctor know. They may be able to help you by changing your dosage or by prescribing you an alternate medicine.

before using Nitrotap Applicap, let your doctor know if you are taking any medicines to treat high blood pressure in your lungs (pulmonary hypertension), or any other medical conditions. Inform your doctor if you have any pre-exiosting medical conditions. It is best not to drink alcohol while on treatment with this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before taking this medicine.

How to use Nitrotap Aplicap

Take the medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Wipe the tip of the aplicap and cut the end with a clean instrument. Compress the body to squeeze out the contents and apply it to the affected area.

Nitrotap Applicap is a nitrate which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. Once absorbed, it relaxes the blood vessels and reduces the workload of the heart muscle. This alleviates angina (chest pain) associated with reduced blood flow.

You have been prescribed Nitrotap Applicap for the prevention and treatment of heart-related chest pain (angina).
Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fiber, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, increase your physical activity, watch your weight and reduce stress.
Nitrotap Applicap should be applied every 12 hours or as suggested by the doctor.
Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
You have been prescribed Nitrotap Applicap for the prevention and treatment of heart-related chest pain (angina).

Nitrotap Applicap may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how it affects you.

You may develop tolerance to Nitrotap Applicap with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.
Stop taking medications (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) like sildenafil or tadalafil while on treatment with Nitrotap Applicap as it may cause low blood pressure.
