Neolicolate Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effect is allergic reaction. This is temporary and usually resolves with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney, stomach or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

5. If you are suffering from epilepsy or Parkinsonism (a disorder in the brain causing muscle stiffness and shaking)

8. If you suffer from obstruction of the stomach (pyloric stenosis) or bowel causing vomiting, abdominal pain, and swelling (paralytic ileus)

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Neolicolate Injection may be safe to use during breastfeeding. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Long-term use of Neolicolate Injection might reduce milk production.

Neolicolate Injection may cause side effects that could affect your ability to drive.
Neolicolate Injection may affect vision and coordination. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

CAUTION

Neolicolate Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Regular monitoring of kidney function test and some blood tests may advised while you are taking this medicine.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Neolicolate Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed.
