Product introduction

Neoglyate Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effect is allergic reaction. This is temporary and usually resolves with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney, stomach or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

Neoglyate Injection is given to reverse the effects of some of the drugs that were used during surgery such as anesthetics and skeletal muscle relaxants. It is given in a hospital setting by a doctor or nurse and should never be self-administered.

Neoglyate Injection is a combination of two medicines: Glycopyrrolate and Neostigmine.

  • Talk to your doctor or nurse before you are given Neoglyate Injection:
    1. If you suffer from asthma attacks, wheezing, or difficulty in breathing
    2. If you have low or high blood pressure
    3. If you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats) or slow heart rate
    4. If you have a history of coronary artery disease or a heart attack.
    5. If you are suffering from epilepsy or Parkinsonism (a disorder in the brain causing muscle stiffness and shaking)
    6. If you suffer from myasthenia gravis (a disease resulting in severe muscle weakness and fatigue)
    7. If you suffer from stomach ulcers
    8. If you suffer from obstruction of the stomach (pyloric stenosis) or bowel causing vomiting, abdominal pain, and swelling (paralytic ileus)
    9. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Neoglyate Injection should be used with caution in elderly people.
