Murub Ointment is meant for external use only. Apply it only to the affected area of the skin as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. To get the most benefit, apply it regularly, and preferably at the same time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. Doing so may increase the risk of side effects.


Common side effects of Murub Ointment include application site reactions such as a minor burning sensation, irritation, and rashes. These side effects are usually temporary and subside with time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor.


Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. If the medicine accidentally gets into these areas, rinse thoroughly with water. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it.

Murub Ointment is an antibacterial medicine and will only help if the diaper rash is due to bacterial infection.
Inform your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine. If you do not feel better after finishing the full course of treatment, consult your doctor.
Use Murub Ointment for the duration advised by your doctor. The bacteria are normally cleared from your skin within 10 days of starting the treatment. Do not use it for more than 10 days. If your skin condition does not improve within 3-5 days, see your doctor.
Follow the directions given by your doctor carefully. Wash your hands before applying the Murub Ointment. Apply the medicine to the infected area of the skin 2-3 times daily or as told by your doctor. You can cover the treated area with a dressing or leave it open as per your doctor’s advice.
Avoid using the Murub Ointment for large open wounds. Consult your doctor on how to use it and follow all instructions for maximum benefits.
Burning sensation is a common side effect of applying Murub Ointment. However, stinging is uncommon. It does not last long and will disappear after sometime. Do not stop using Murub Ointment because of these mild side effects. If you have any concerns consult your doctor.
Murub Ointment should not be used to treat infections in or near the eyes, nostrils, or mouth. If this medicine accidentally enters your eyes, wash your eyes thoroughly with water. In case you have tubes inserted in your body for the delivery of fluids or medicines (cannula), do not use this medicine to treat the skin near that area.
Wash off the medicine immediately if you get a raised and itchy rash, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing, fainting, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, or other parts of the body. These may be signs of severe allergic reactions. You should immediately stop using Murub Ointment and consult your doctor. Though unlikely, if you get abdominal cramps and diarrhea, you should stop Murub Ointment immediately and consult your doctor.
