Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Montlevo Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Montlevo Tablet works

Montlevo Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast, which relieve sneezing and a runny nose due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms.

Frequently asked questions

Some people may feel drowsy or sleepy when taking Montlevo Tablet, though this is uncommon. If you notice that you feel unusually tired or sleepy after taking it, be cautious when driving or operating machinery. If drowsiness becomes bothersome or affects your daily activities, talk to your doctor.
You should not stop taking Montlevo Tablet simply because your allergy symptoms have improved. Your doctor should determine the course and duration of the medicine based on your condition. Abruptly stopping before the recommended duration may not fully control your symptoms, so always talk to your doctor before discontinuing.
Dry mouth is a possible side effect of Montlevo Tablet. Drinking water at regular intervals, using sugar-free candies or chewing gum may help. If dry mouth persists or becomes uncomfortable, talk to your doctor about ways to manage it.
Alcohol can increase drowsiness and may worsen side effects such as sleepiness or light-headedness. While there is no direct contraindication, combining alcohol with Montlevo Tablet may make you feel more sedated or less alert. It is generally best to avoid or limit alcohol while taking this medicine and discuss any concerns with your doctor.
Taking more than the recommended dose of Montlevo Tablet may increase the chance of side effects. Always follow the dose and frequency prescribed by your doctor. If you feel your symptoms are not well controlled, talk to your doctor rather than increasing the dose on your own.
Montlevo Tablet is a combination tablet that helps relieve allergy and respiratory discomfort symptoms. It contains medicines that block certain chemicals in the body that trigger allergic reactions and help reduce symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose, throat irritation, and cough. By targeting the underlying pathways of allergy and cough reflex, it supports symptom relief when used as directed by your doctor.
Most people do not experience mood or behavior changes with Montlevo Tablet. However, if you notice unusual mood swings, increased irritability, agitation, or behavior that seems out of character after starting the medicine, talk to your doctor. These changes are uncommon and may need evaluation to rule out other causes.
Montlevo Tablet is intended to relieve allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and throat irritation, which can be associated with nasal discomfort. It may help improve overall symptoms, but if your blocked nose is due to severe congestion, other targeted treatments (such as a nasal decongestant recommended by your doctor) may provide more direct relief. Consult your doctor for the most appropriate treatment for nasal blockage.
The number of Montlevo Tablet tablets you can take in a day depends on your age, symptoms, and your doctor’s prescription. Do not exceed the dose and frequency recommended by your doctor. If you are unsure how many tablets to take or if your symptoms are changing, talk to your doctor for specific instructions.
A cough from a bacterial infection is often accompanied by other signs, such as thick yellow or green sputum, fever, or worsening symptoms over several days rather than improvement. However, distinguishing a bacterial cough from a viral one can be difficult without clinical evaluation. If your cough persists, worsens, or is accompanied by high fever and difficulty breathing, talk to your doctor for proper evaluation and tests.
There is no direct evidence that Montlevo Tablet negatively affects kidney function in people with normal kidney health when taken at prescribed doses. However, if you have existing kidney problems, are taking other medicines, or have concerns about kidney health, it’s important to inform your doctor. They can determine whether any monitoring or dose adjustments are needed.
Montlevo Tablet should be used during pregnancy only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk to the developing baby. The safety can vary depending on the trimester and the reason for use. Always discuss your symptoms, medical history, and stage of pregnancy with your doctor before starting Montlevo Tablet.
Yes, in rare cases, Montlevo Tablet may cause an allergic skin reaction. Symptoms can include itching, redness, or raised rashes. Even though the medicine is used to treat allergy symptoms, some individuals may be sensitive to its ingredients. If you notice a new rash, swelling of the face, or any unusual skin reaction after taking Montlevo Tablet, stop using it and seek medical advice immediately.
Montlevo Tablet can be used in both children and older adults, but only when a doctor advises it. In children, the dose needs to be carefully adjusted based on age and body weight, as giving too much can cause side effects. In older adults, the medicine may be started at a lower dose and monitored closely to ensure it is safe and working properly.
