Loteprednol(0.5% w/v)

Uses

Loteprednol is used in the treatment of allergic disorders and eye disorders.

How it works

Loteprednol belongs to a class of medication called as ophthalmic corticosteroid. The exact mechanism of action is not known. They are thought to induce certain proteins (phospholipase A 2 inhibitory proteins) which inhibit the formation of other compounds like prostaglandin and leukotrienes which promote inflammation. As a result, the redness, swelling, and itching is relieved at the site of administration.

Moxifloxacin is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and tuberculosis (TB).

How it works

Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by inhibiting the DNA replication.
