Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression.

How to use Mirip Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Mirip Tablet works

Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amitriptyline and Chlordiazepoxide, which treats depression. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet may make you feel drowsy or affect your concentration and this may affect your ability to drive.
Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Mirip 25mg/10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

During the first few months of treatment, Mirip may increase suicidal thoughts or actions in some patients. Patients having mood or behavioral disorder have a high risk of developing suicidal thoughts and actions. You should pay close attention and report your doctor of any such behavior or mood changes.
