Product introduction

Merosya 7 Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Do not stop taking it until you have completed the course. Regular blood and urine tests to monitor your blood cells and kidney and liver function may be required during treatment with this medicine.


Common side effects of this medicine include increased liver enzymes, hair loss, diarrhea, influenza, and nausea. If any of these side effects bother you, let your doctor know. They may be able to help find ways to treat or manage the side effects.


This medicine should not be taken by pregnant women. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Let your doctor also know if you have any other medical conditions. Additionally, tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Merosya with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Life-threatening

Natalizumab (Injection Route)

Do not consume Natalizumab with Teriflunomide.

Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted) (Injection Route)

Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted) should not be used while undergoing treatment with Teriflunomide or for up to 6 months after stopping Teriflunomide.

Sulbactam (Oral Route)

Do not consume Sulbactam with Teriflunomide. Teriflunomide may raise blood levels of Sulbactam.

Merosya 7 Tablet is used to treat multiple sclerosis (MS), a condition where the nerves do not work properly. It belongs to a group of medicines called immunomodulatory agents (drugs that regulate the immune system). It may help by reducing inflammation and slowing down immune cells that can damage nerves.
Individuals should not take Merosya 7 Tablet if they are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It should also be avoided during breastfeeding. People with severe liver disease, serious infections, or immune system issues should not use it. It is also not suitable for those with low levels of blood cells (such as white blood cells or platelets). Anyone allergic to teriflunomide or any of Merosya 7 Tablet's ingredients should avoid it. These may include yellowing of the skin or eyes (a sign of liver problems), skin rashes or blisters (possible severe skin reaction), numbness, tingling, or weakness in the hands or feet (may indicate nerve damage), ongoing cough or difficulty breathing (could signal lung issues), unusual bleeding or bruising (may suggest low blood cell counts), or a rise in blood pressure.
Long-term Merosya 7 Tablet treatment may increase the risk of infection and cancer. You should report any signs of infection, such as fever, to your doctor right away.
Yes, Merosya 7 Tablet can cause high blood pressure, so your doctor will check this regularly. It might also affect blood and liver tests, which is why you will need regular checkups while on Merosya 7 Tablet treatment.
The risk of a man passing on the harmful effects of Merosya 7 Tablet to a baby through sperm is very low, but it is still something to discuss with a doctor if you are planning to have a child.
Yes, hair thinning or loss (alopecia) is a common side effect of Merosya 7 Tablet that may be reversible when the treatment stops. Hair loss occurs most often during the first 6 months of the treatment.
