Lostar 25mg Tablet can be prescribed either alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food during the day or at night. However, try to take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit. It is important to continue taking it regularly even if you feel well or if your blood pressure is controlled. Interaction with drugs

Taking Lostar with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Amiloride (Oral Route)

Do not consume Losartan with Amiloride if you have kidney disorders. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. and adjust the dose of Amiloride as per the observations.

Co-trimoxazole (Oral Route)

Do not consume Losartan with Co-trimoxazole. If concurrent use is essential, please consult your doctor. They may monitor your potassium levels closely.

Eplerenone (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as muscle weakness, fatigue, cramps, nausea, vomiting, tingling, numbness or irregular heartbeat and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may also monitor your potassium levels closely.

Spironolactone (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, confusion, weight loss, tingling in hands and feet, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, difficulty concentrating, or taste changes, and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations.

Triamterene (Oral Route)

Do not consume Losartan with Triamterene if you have kidney disorders. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. and adjust the dose of Triamterene as per the observations.
