Product introduction

Lobg G 1 Tablet may be taken alone or along with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get the most benefits. Your doctor will decide what dose is best for you and this may change from time to time according to its effect on you.

Keep taking Lobg G 1 Tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting the doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Remember that it is only a part of the treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by the doctor. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.

Common side effects of Lobg G 1 Tablet include hypoglycemia, headache, edema (swelling), and weight gain. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you or persist for a longer duration. Your doctor may also advise regular blood tests to monitor your blood cell counts and liver function or get your blood sugar levels checked regularly.

You should not take it if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in your blood), or severe kidney or liver disease. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had heart disease, thyroid disease, or some hormonal conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.

How Lobg G Tablet works

Lobg G 1 Tablet contains two antidiabetic ingredients. Lobeglitazone Sulfate works as an insulin sensitizer by binding to the PPAR receptors in fat cells and making the cells more responsive to insulin. Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently.

Quick tips

  • Take Lobg G 1 Tablet shortly before or with the first main meal of the day (usually breakfast).
  • Exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet and take your other diabetes medicines (if prescribed) alongside.
  • Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking Lobg G 1 Tablet.
  • Lobg G 1 Tablet can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
  • Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor and anxiety.
