It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Frequently asked questions
Lestar 3D Tablet SR is used to help manage asthma, allergic rhinitis (allergies), and other respiratory conditions associated with wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, mucus buildup, and breathing difficulty. It may help reduce allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy or watery eyes while also supporting better airflow in the lungs. Regular use may help improve breathing and reduce the frequency of respiratory symptoms.
Lestar 3D Tablet SR contains montelukast, levocetirizine, and acebrophylline, which work together to improve breathing and control allergy-related symptoms. Montelukast helps reduce airway inflammation by blocking substances called leukotrienes that can cause narrowing and swelling of the airways. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, helping relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. Acebrophylline helps relax the airways and reduces mucus thickness, making it easier to clear mucus from the lungs. Together, they help reduce coughing, mucus buildup, wheezing, and breathing discomfort while improving airflow.
Yes, Lestar 3D Tablet SR may be taken with or without food. However, taking it after meals may feel more comfortable if you experience stomach discomfort. Avoid taking it with fruit juices such as apple, orange, or grapefruit juice unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Montelukast-containing medicines are often prescribed in the evening because allergy and asthma symptoms may worsen during the night in some individuals. Taking the medicine regularly at the same time each day helps maintain symptom control. Follow the timing recommended by your doctor.
No, Lestar 3D Tablet SR is not a rescue medicine and should not be used to treat a sudden asthma attack or severe breathing difficulty. Always keep your prescribed rescue inhaler available for emergency symptom relief and seek medical help if breathing symptoms worsen suddenly.
Some individuals may notice improvement in allergy symptoms within a few days of starting treatment. Improvement in cough, mucus clearance, and breathing symptoms may take longer depending on the severity of the condition. Continue taking the medicine regularly as prescribed for the best results.
Yes, taking Lestar 3D Tablet SR at the same time each day helps maintain consistent medicine levels in the body and may improve symptom control. Missing doses may reduce its effectiveness in controlling asthma and allergy symptoms.
If you use antacids, it is generally advisable to keep a gap between the antacid and Lestar 3D Tablet SR. This may help prevent interaction with medicine absorption. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the appropriate time gap.
Yes, some individuals may experience sleepiness, tiredness, dizziness, or reduced alertness while taking Lestar 3D Tablet SR due to the antihistamine component. If you feel drowsy, avoid driving, operating machinery, or activities that require concentration.
No, Lestar 3D Tablet SR does not contain a steroid. It contains medicines that help manage allergies, asthma symptoms, airway inflammation, and mucus buildup through different mechanisms.
Yes, the Acebrophylline in Lestar 3D Tablet SR helps loosen and clear mucus from the airways, which may make breathing easier and reduce chest congestion, cough, and mucus buildup.
Respiratory symptoms may take time to improve, especially if there is significant airway inflammation or mucus accumulation. Some individuals may notice gradual improvement over several days to weeks with regular treatment. If symptoms continue to worsen or do not improve, further evaluation may be needed.
Lestar 3D Tablet SR may be prescribed for long-term control of asthma and allergy symptoms when required. The duration of treatment depends on your symptoms, medical condition, and response to therapy. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you start feeling better.
Lestar 3D Tablet SR contains Montelukast, which carries a Boxed Warning for serious neuropsychiatric events. Patients have reported agitation, aggression, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts or actions during or after treatment. These events have occurred in both adults and children, with and without a prior history of mental illness. Seek your dcotor's attention promptly if you or your caregiver notice any unusual changes in mood, behavior, thinking, or sleep while taking Lestar 3D Tablet SR.
