Imosec M 2mg/125mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effect is constipation. This is temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about these side effects. This medicine may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness. Lifestyle modifications like having fiber-rich diet, increase fluid intake and regular exercise can help you to get better results.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should consult your doctor immediately if you experience any allergic reactions symptoms include skin redness or rashes etc.

Imosec M 2mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines:

You have been prescribed Imosec M 2mg/125mg Tablet for the treatment of diarrhea.
Diarrhea can cause water loss and electrolyte imbalance. Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
Do not use Imosec M 2mg/125mg Tablet if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.
Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food until you recover completely.
It is best to avoid drinking alcohol while taking and till 4 days after taking this medication. This is because drinking alcohol with Imosec M 2mg/125mg Tablet is likely to make you feel very sick (nauseated) and cause other unpleasant effects, such as hot flushes, headaches.
Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
