Uses of Hylac Tablet
It is used to relieve cramps in the muscles of stomach, intestine, bladder and ureter. It can also be used to relieve the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Side effects of Hylac Tablet
Dry mouth, Arrhythmia, Reduced bronchial secretions, Excessive thirst, Increased heart rate, Dry skin, Palpitations, Photophobia, Loss of accommodation, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Slow heart rate, Dilatation of pupil, Difficulty in urination, Constipation.

Expert advice for Hylac Tablet
- Do not take hyoscine if you are allergic to hyoscine or any of the other ingredient of the tablet or solution.
- Do not drive or operate machinery immediately after taking hyoscine as it may cause drowsiness.
- Consult your doctor before taking hyoscine, if you have a history of heart problems like heart failure or fast heart rate; an overactive thyroid; fever, constipation or difficulty while urinating.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Single dose is unlikely to interfere with breastfeeding, milk secretion may decrease during long-term use.
