Gnorm Sachet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of diarrhea. This medicine is a probiotic and it works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.
Gnorm Sachet also prevent the growth of harmful bacteria in the stomach and intestine and improve the functioning of the digestive system. It is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You may take this medicine along with oral rehydration solution (ORS) as it will help to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should take this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Consult a doctor while taking any other medicine especially steroids or antibiotics along with this medicine.
The most common side effects are bloating and flatulence. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects.

Gnorm Sachet is a probiotic medicine used to treat different types of diarrhea, including diarrhea caused by antibiotics, infections, traveler’s diarrhea, irritable bowel disease, and diarrhea linked to Clostridium difficile. It helps restore the natural balance of gut bacteria.
Who should not take Gnorm Sachet?
Individuals should not take Gnorm Sachet if they are allergic to yeast or any of the ingredients present in it, have a central venous catheter, are critically ill, or have a weak immune system.
Can Gnorm Sachet cause serious side effects?
Although they are rare, serious side effects of Gnorm Sachet may include severe allergic reactions such as swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or anaphylaxis. Rare cases of bloodstream infection (fungemia or sepsis) have also been reported in very sick or immunocompromised patients.

What should I do if my diarrhea does not improve with Gnorm Sachet?
If your diarrhea continues for more than two days while taking Gnorm Sachet, consult your doctor. You may need further medical evaluation or additional treatment, especially if you are losing fluids quickly.
Does Gnorm Sachet replace rehydration therapy?
No. Gnorm Sachet does not replace rehydration. If you are losing a lot of fluids due to diarrhea, you must drink plenty of water and electrolyte solutions to stay hydrated, as advised by your doctor.
Can Gnorm Sachet cause allergic reactions?
Yes. Allergic reactions may happen in some people after taking Gnorm Sachet. Symptoms include skin rash, itching, hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Stop taking it and seek medical help immediately if these occur.
Why should Gnorm Sachet not be mixed with very hot or cold drinks?
