Glim C Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is to be taken with food, preferably at the same time each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Some people may develop hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when this medicine is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or upon skipping a meal. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking it. Other common side effects of this medicine include nausea, taste changes, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and respiratory tract infection.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your doctor will check your kidney function tests before starting treatment with it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.

Carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety.
Your doctor may monitor your liver functioning. Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms like abdominal pain, yellowing of eyes and loss of appetite.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Breast feeding

Glim C Tablet may be safe to use during breastfeeding. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Driving

CAUTION

Glim C Tablet may affect your driving ability if your blood sugar becomes too low or too high. Monitor your blood glucose and avoid driving if affected.

Kidney

CAUTION

Glim C Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Glim C Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.

Liver

CAUTION

Glim C Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Glim C Tablet is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
