Product introduction

Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is to be taken with food, preferably at the same time each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may cause side effects like taste change, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. However, these are temporary and usually subside on their own. Please consult your doctor in case these do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.

Before taking Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your doctor will check your kidney function tests before starting treatment with it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.

It also improves the body’s response to the hormone insulin, which is responsible for regulating blood glucose (sugar) levels in our body. The insulin helps to lower your blood glucose levels and prevents them from rising after taking meals. It also contains Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B that helps protect nerve damage and treats symptoms such as numbness, tingling, burning, and needle-like sensations in the hands and feet.
You should keep taking it for as long as it is prescribed. Lowering blood glucose levels is an essential part of managing diabetes. Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR is prescribed mainly for patients with diabetes who also have, or are at risk of, vitamin B12 deficiency-related nerve problems.
Individuals should not take Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR if they are allergic to metformin or methylcobalamin, have severe kidney disease, severe liver issues, or a history of lactic acidosis. It is contraindicated in people with acute heart failure, severe infection, or if you are dehydrated.
Although they are rare, serious side effects of Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR include lactic acidosis (rapid breathing, severe drowsiness, muscle pain, and weakness), allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing), and severe loss of appetite. Seek medical attention immediately if these occur.
You should use Formin Plus 500 Tablet SR as directed for the duration recommended by your doctor. Blood sugar control usually improves within days to weeks. Nerve health benefits may take longer. Long-term use is typical for ongoing diabetes management.
