Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It shrinks the size of the enlarged prostate gland to relieve symptoms like pain and difficulty in passing urine.

It should be taken by mouth with or without food. This medicine is given for long time as takes few months to show its effects. Thus, it is important to take it as advised by doctor and complete the full course of treatment.

It is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive. Remember you should not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of this medicine.

How Eurotam D Tablet works

Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme which is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve the symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is not indicated for use in women.

Driving

Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION

Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Eurotam D Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Eurotam D 0.50mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.\n
