How Dutagen Soft Gelatin Capsule works

Dutagen Capsule is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that is necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow. As a result, it helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine.

Dutagen Capsule may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Dutagen Capsule. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.
Dutagen Capsule is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects, such as low sexual drive.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Dutagen with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Watch out for symptoms such as reduced sexual drive, dizziness, blisters or mood changes and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may monitor and adjust the doses as per the observations. Aprepitant may raise blood levels of Dutasteride.
