How to use Dix Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Dix 300 mg Syrup is to be taken empty stomach.

How Dix Syrup works

Dix 300 mg Syrup is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

Dix 300 mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Dix 300 mg Syrup is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving

Dix 300 mg Syrup does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Dix 300 mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Dix 300 mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

What if you miss a dose of Dix Syrup?

If you miss a dose of Dix 300 mg Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
