Deflawik 6 Tablet is a corticosteroid. Taking Deflawik with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted) (Injection Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Deflazacort before taking Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted).

Severe

Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Deflazacort before taking Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Severe

Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route)

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Deflazacort before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine.

Efavirenz (Oral Route)

Concomitant use may disturb the heart rhythm. Efavirenz may increase the metabolism of Deflazacort.

For certain vaccines (live or live-attenuated vaccines), your child will need to wait 4 to 6 weeks before starting Deflawik 6 Tablet. Hence, your child needs to receive all immunizations according to immunization guidelines before they start taking Deflawik 6 Tablet.

My child is suffering from a seizure disorder. Is it safe to give Deflawik 6 Tablet to my child?

Prolonged intake of Deflawik 6 Tablet can lead to mental illness as well as a seizure disorder. Therefore, any child who is already suffering from seizure disorder should not take Deflawik 6 Tablet.
