How to use Decolic Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Decolic Tablet works

Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diazepam and Dicyclomine. Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Dicyclomine works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). In doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.

Pregnancy

Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet can make you sleepy, forgetful, and have poor co-ordination. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Decolic 80 mg/NA Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
