Diazepam+Dicyclomine is used in the treatment of abdominal pain.
How Diazepam + Dicyclomine works
Diazepam + Dicyclomine is a combination of two medicines: Diazepam and Dicyclomine. Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Dicyclomine works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) which in turn relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Common side effects of Diazepam + Dicyclomine
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

No, Diazepam+Dicyclomine may make you drowsy or can cause blurred vision. Do not drive a car or operate machinery while you are on this medicine.
Before you start taking Diazepam+Dicyclomine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine or have problems with urination. Also inform your doctor if you have a bowel obstruction or severe constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a serious heart condition or active bleeding. Your doctor should also know if you are breastfeeding or have glaucoma (eye disorder causing gradual loss of sight).
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube, which connects your mouth and stomach (esophagus). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of your esophagus. Symptoms include chest pain (heartburn) usually after eating, which might get worse at night, and difficulty in swallowing.
It is advised that you should only use Diazepam+Dicyclomine when it is clearly needed. It is known that this medicine passes into breast milk and may have serious side effects on an infant younger than 6 months of age. Do not breastfeed a baby while taking this medicine or else take your doctor’s advice about this.
Keep this medicine in the packet or container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
