How Damlax Tablet works
Damlax Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Diacerein, Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride, Methyl Sulfonyl Methane and Methylcobalamin which relieve osteoarthritis symptoms. Diacerein and Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators whereas Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) is a nutritional supplement. Together they help in building cartilage (soft tissue that cushions the joints) leading to joint repair. They also lower inflammation (swelling) of the joints. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which has pain relieving action.

Frequently asked questions
Damlax Tablet is used to help treat symptoms of osteoarthritis, a condition where the joints gradually wear down over time. It may help relieve joint pain, stiffness, and discomfort, making everyday activities easier to perform. It is often used as a long-term treatment to support joint function and improve mobility.
Damlax Tablet contains diacerein, glucosamine sulfate potassium chloride, methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) and methylcobalamin, which work together to support joint health. Diacerein helps reduce inflammation associated with joint damage. Glucosamine sulfate potassium chloride helps support the structure and maintenance of cartilage, the tissue that cushions the joints. MSM (methyl sulfonyl methane) provides sulfur, which is important for healthy connective tissues and joint function. Methylcobalamin (a form of vitamin B12) supports normal nerve function. Together, these ingredients may help reduce joint pain and stiffness and improve joint movement over time.
Yes, Damlax Tablet is often used as part of the long-term management of osteoarthritis. Improvement may be gradual, and some people may need to take it regularly for an extended period to achieve maximum benefit. Follow your doctor's instructions and attend regular follow-up visits.
Damlax Tablet is generally recommended to be taken with food. Taking it after meals may help improve stomach tolerance and reduce the likelihood of digestive discomfort. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the timing of doses to ensure the medicine works as intended.
Unlike painkillers that provide immediate relief, Damlax Tablet may take several weeks before significant improvement in joint pain and stiffness is noticed. Some people may experience gradual benefits with regular use over time. Continue taking the medicine as prescribed, even if results are not immediate.
Yes, some people may notice a darker yellow or brownish colour in their urine while taking Damlax Tablet. This is a known effect associated with one of the ingredients and is generally harmless. However, if urine colour changes are accompanied by other unusual symptoms, inform your doctor.
Glucosamine is sometimes derived from shellfish sources. Inform your doctor before taking Damlax Tablet if you have a known shellfish or seafood allergy. Your doctor can determine whether the medicine is suitable for you or recommend an alternative if necessary.
Some ingredients in Damlax Tablet may affect blood sugar control in certain individuals. If you have diabetes, your doctor may advise regular monitoring of blood glucose levels, especially when starting treatment. Monitoring can help identify any changes that may require medical attention.
Yes, Damlax Tablet may interact with blood-thinning medicines such as warfarin. This interaction may increase the risk of bleeding in some individuals. Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking so that appropriate precautions or monitoring can be arranged.
Yes, inform your doctor and surgeon if you are taking Damlax Tablet and have a surgical or dental procedure planned. This is particularly important if you are taking medicines that affect bleeding or clotting. Your doctor can advise whether any temporary treatment changes are necessary.
Yes, light exercise and physical therapy are often important parts of osteoarthritis management. Activities such as walking, stretching, and strengthening exercises may help improve joint flexibility and mobility. Follow your doctor's or physiotherapist's recommendations regarding the most suitable exercise program for you.
No, Damlax Tablet does not cure osteoarthritis. However, it may help manage symptoms such as pain, stiffness, and reduced joint mobility. When used regularly alongside lifestyle measures such as exercise and weight management, it may help improve day-to-day comfort and function.
Take Damlax Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Medicines used for osteoarthritis are often intended for regular use to provide consistent symptom relief. Achieving the best benefit from treatment depends on taking the medicine correctly and consistently.
